Lee Thomson https://leethomsonart.com is a contemporary fiber artist living and working in western Massachusetts. Her stitched textile works draw on a background in geology, geography and cartography to explore the landscape from the bones up. Starting with layered fabric, details are drawn in thread and the finished work shows a familiar landscape in a new way.
This show focuses on the local river, with scenes from the Connecticut River Valley and abstract rivers presented.
